CENTRAL GAUL. Arverni (?). 3rd century BC. Quarter Stater (Gold, 12 mm, 1.77 g, 9 h), 'Montmorot-Besançon' type. Laureate head of Apollo to right. Rev. Charioteer driving biga to right, holding reins in his left hand and kentron in his right; below the horses, monogram of AP. DT 3011. Scheers, Lyon, 301. Sills, Group 3, Class 2, 79. SLM 386. Very rare. Light scratches, otherwise, good very fine.
